By adding in the shell script - after a copy is saved - the following:

service named reload

Then the script will make a copy in tar and reload the changes!

Hi,

Just write a cron with a shell script to copy the bind directory and name it with date and time.

Then make a tar archive.

Very simple thing to script it.

35
Ooops, this is not a bug.

It is the way how it is.

With Kloxo-MR, one cannot use wild card domains!

It is a feature that could be implemented.

Hello Mustafa,

Using 6.5.0.f 2014041803 and latest httpd.

In kloxomr panel, I have www. force redirect to www.

In DNS, I have wildcard CNAME for * ---> @.

Any subdomain other than CNAME www, as it is configured, does not point to the @ ---> IP.

The http request is redirected by kloxomr panel to a non-existent domain page i.e. default page.

Thats wrong.

Hi Mustafa,
I will change to 'post' instead 'get' for external link (example for phpmyadmin login).
As we know, 'post' more hard to 'crack' rather than 'get'.

Coming to anathor point, as a subset of this discussion.

Gone are those days when we needed non-secured connections. Many companies just uses https totally. Mustafa, why dont you just ABORT EVERY AREA THAT USES NON-SECURED CONNECTIONS?

There is really no reason to have 7778, etc. possibility. Everything _MUST_ GO THROUGH SSL. Now the default SSL is working properly. So just eradicate http://domain.tld/7778 completely.

I suggest to have an enhanced configuration of SSL Home which may give a very good overview of all SSL certificates used, or to be used, and assist an administrator to apply it.

38
I forgot.

How about using a totally different redirection method which may secure the transfer beyond the technology implemented now?

In Kloxo official, all button links in panel in javascript format (so it's impossible to right-click and then click 'open in new tab'). In Kloxo-MR, all button links change to plain url (make possible to right-click).

Yes, thats true. But this problem existed in Kloxo as well since many years.

You changed it a bit to make it better, not in all areas.

Hi,

You need to help yourself.

Just change ns1.desimoron.com and ns2.desimoron.com in the domain configuration with your registrar.

Then all other entries other than nsxx.desimoron.com in the root servers will disappear.

Mind you, it may take some hours to a couple of days until all the changes are propogated around.

HI,
Mustafa: can you take a look at this as it could be a serious security problem:
when you access "SQL Manager" i see the request URL like  /thirdparty/phpMyAdmin/?pma_username=myusername&pma_password=mypassword
"mypassword" is being sent in clear text! I assume that's not the intention?

This problem is not new.

Thats not the intention, ofcourse. But, in Kloxo-MR, there exists a little closed world of Mustafa related to security, which he believes is valid and correct.

In 2008, I had a fight on the telefone with Ligesh, the creator of lxadmin and developer of Kloxo, when he blatantly refused to recognize my security concerns. Later he killed himself.

I have never used phpMyAdmin.

Hi,

The first thing I told you was to reinstall the toaster, which - as it appears now - that you DID NOT. Then we see things in a different direction on trouble shooting and the actual problem remains in there.

Thank you a lot, Kloxo-DR, MRatWork and chrisf. Problem solved. No ram killer anymore  ;D I just reinstall *toaster and reduce value of Max SMTP in "Mail Server Setting" to 50. Hope this topic useful to everyone ;D
Have a nice day ;D

There were changes in the compilation of Qmailtoaster. Most likely that was the problem.

If you want to have this topic useful to everyone, then do change the Max SMTP from your currect 50 to 200, instead of default 100 in Kloxo-MR.

Try to increase Max SMTP instances to 200 instances now, restart qmail by the following and tell us if this solution increases RAM of qmail-remote:

qmailctl stop
qmailctl start
service xinetd restart

So let us see where the problem was and understand if the problem occured due to more SMTP instances.

Hello Mustafa,

Once, while changing the usual game, I found that the repo for nginx was disabled. So it did not work after the change and brought me in a situation to trouble shoot area.

I suggest that you enter into these changing script to enable and disable things that are really meant for and to assure that the repo is made available for the change.

For beginers, it is very difficult to see all this.

Hi,

Well, you have all the latest rpms and kloxomr! Everything is fine and perfect!

Try to change the webserver to apache abd back again to see which combination works.

Also try to change webserver settings like phpfpm, etc. in these changes. In one of these combinations, you will find that it works.

If there was a php update or change during this play, then you need to reboot the server.

I solved it once by downgrading php to php 5.3.3 and rebooting. Then I changed apache to nginx and back again. Thereafter, I had a working php 5.3.3, phpfpm with worker and apache. Only thereafter, I change the php to a higher one, rebooted. It worked.

Here, you should also apply sh /script/fix-all as well because there are certain configuration that need to be generated through scripts.

By doing so, you are generating several config files, and reboot if necessary.

I have realized never to make updates as I found that updates screw the installation of functioning services and brings the production server down. It becomes a nightmare to bring it up again, if certaiin things require complex understanding of the problem involved.

Kloxo-MR really became a very good panel after Mustafa started his military action of ironing bugs and pouring features.

One one side Mustafa did a fantastic job, as a one man show, but on the other side one also needs to understand the downside and drawback of this situation. But then he also suffers from overconfident, that everything is working on his production servers, and adamont attitudes in certain areas.

Because Mustafa does not follow a system of release candidate and releases his excellent work, that functions on his testing servers, then it gets tested on production servers. Many times things does not work and brings the servers down.

An update of rpms by Mustafa is never garanteed to function on production servers. This may not really relate to his work directly. It could also relate on certain other dependencies, etc. or there are several other factors. And thats a problem.

Never make an update unless there is a security update accounced. See if that update goes trough and becomes stable. Never make an update, just because a new feature came up.

The good thing is that you have certain basic fix scripts that helps you to repair your installation to kick it going but not always 100% sure. Mind you this is a free software. So one cannot also expect any garanteed support.

If this does not work, then you are responsible to make an update because, as my experience of Kloxo-MR is, many things just does not work at all.

It appears that you have already done changes from apache to nginx and back again in switch programs, right?

If you want someone to help, then you have to give more information to all experts who have similar experience of services not working after updates.

Give us:

sh /script/sysinfo

and other infos.
