wildcard DNS
« on: 2014-04-11, 18:43:26 »
Hello

I was tying to setup wildcard DNS via kloxo mr: domain=>Server Aliases
When I typed "*" I got this error:
Alert: invalid_server_alias

Wildcards (*) only for main domain (aka main IP).

Yes, I have used it on the main domain (default domain), I also assigned the main IP to the domain but it didn't work, I used to do it like that in the old kloxo

Just '*' (without quote) in 'server alias' for domain.

I did that and I got this error:
Alert: invalid_server_alias

Edit:
After visiting my IP address, it shows Kloxo-MR Page and not my domain page

I have already did this step since the beginning (client home -> ipaddresses -> ipaddress home -> domain config)
and assign it to the domain, than reboot the server but nothing happens

I had to make a fresh install because it didn't work before
Now when I assigned the IP to the domain, and set the default domain, I see webmail list when I visit my IP address
Also server alias still don't work

If you want ip assign to domain, the first step is create ssl certificate and then assign this certificate to domain. But, it's have a trouble if you have 1 IP only.

Remember, most CP handle IP as 'shared' or multi-home. That mean 1 IP use by multiple domains/subdomains.
