Why Centos 6 on OpenVZ error for fresh install

Same problem here, with a fresh Centos 6, 64bit.

what about Centos 5 ?

maybe as "MR" ask : your provider host, used old operating system ?

if your server with little memory (>=1G ), I suggest using centos 5 because default MySql 5, and can skip Innodb.

in centos 6 default Mysql55, with no skip Innodb

As pointed out by eva2000 in this webhostingtalk thread you can skip innobd adding to /etc/my.cnf:
innodb=OFF
default-storage-engine=MyISAM

This got my memory usage from 580MB down to 280MB
