Site showing PHP source-code after updating PHP

Hello, I have a CentOS 6.8 64 bit VPS with Kloxo-MR 6.5.0.f installed.
I am currently running php version 5.3.29.

I have to install an application that requires atleast PHP 5.4+.
So I went to Web-Mail-Database --> Webserver config --> changed PHP branch to php54_(as_5.4.45)

Restarted httpd, but after doing this all my PHP based websites are showing PHP source-code instead of parsing them. What is to be done now?

I changed the PHP to 5.4 then ran

That did the trick.
