Put a Subdomain on a Different Server
« on: 2014-10-20, 21:42:45 »
Hi,

I have a question regarding the subdomein. Take for example that I have domein www.something.com and subdomein www.blog.something.com

I would like to www.blog.something.com is located on the second server, means that it is not located on the same server as www.something.com

How do I do this, if someone can help me ?

It's easy for Kloxo-MR 7 because 'delegate subdomain' features. An example, you can see mratwork.com and kloxomr7.mratwork.com where they exist in different server.

@MRatWork as far as I understand this is impossible to do for a "Kloxo-MR 6.5.0.f" ?
I use version "Kloxo-MR 6.5.0.f".

Possible in 6.5.0 but with a trick (that mean not using 'delegate' for subdomain).

1. Create 'DNS setting' in server1 for domain2 and then change their IP from IP1 to IP2
2. Create 'DNS setting' in server2 for domain2 like #1
3. Every data change in domain2 in server2 also must change in domain2 in server1

Think domain2 as subdom.domain1.
