Good day all. I hope this is in the correct area, if not please advise and I will post accordingly.
First off a little history. We are a predominantly a Microsoft Shop providing hosting services to quite a few clients. We have decided to move to the "IX" world and in particular the Centos Distro. In addition, we have evaluated many, many Web-based Admin tools and have decided to go with this bad boy.
That being said, we have been using Webmin for managing DNS for reverse zones etc. We do not want to break Kloxo, nor do we want to use two tools for the same tasks.
Our question is, do/should we use Kloxo to manage our reverse zones (as well as managing DNS forwarding). We ask because we noticed in the Kloxo dir structure we have this:
|____ bind
| |
| |____ conf
| | |
| | |____ defaults ==> content config for 'defaults' files
| | |
| | |____ master ==> content config for 'master' files
| | |
| | |____ reverse ==> not implementing yet
| | |
| | |____ slave ==> not implementing yet
| |
This suggests to use that we can use Webmin so long as we put the zones in the appropriate folder. Out thought is that when it is implemented, we will not be in a "broken scenario".
We are hoping to role out our first production server by month's end.
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
BTW: This is one "Awesome" system, beats EHCP, ISP Config and others we have tried. Really great work.
