I use Hiawatha proxy on my shared hosting servers, however, my main server which hosts our hosting solution/forum etc, it uses pure Apache.  The reason is ssl and mobile devices.  Whenever I switch from pure/straight Apache customers complain about the site failing validation, and my green lock disappears from browsers.  I did research and couldn't find a solution, and come to realize it has to be something with the proxy setup, as simply changing to pure Apache all devices, including mobile, register secure with green lock.

There are other reasons programmaticly as well.  Since Apache serves up the php, it doesn't know through global $_SERVER that it is using https.  There is a work around but more work again.  PCI compliance is very hard to obtain, however, one major requirement is all data remain encrypted.  When using proxy, the talk between Apache backend and proxy front is NOT encrypted.

Mustafa doesn't care about pure Apache, as stated in numerous posts.  Always proxy this or that.  Some situations, Apache alone is best.  For PCI compliance or mobile SSL working properly, Apache works perfectly.

Just seems like he has forgotten to keep Apache running smoothly.

The situation is communicate between hiawatha/nginx to apache ALWAYS via 127.0.0.1:30080. It's may a problem with ssl issue.

What about hiawatha standalone, hiawatha-proxy and httpd standalone related to ssl issue?.
