Going back to apache, I've figured out I needed to re-install the php components (php54 in my case) and fix the php-fmp

Now all is great :)

Guess if I share insights someone will figure this out also

47
Hum... yes, it's strange. I'm moving back to apachce. Nginx didn't let css and js files go with https so I'll try to understand the problem.

So... apache now has a problem... (I seam to be bumping into all of them)

Fixed ssl cert by assigning to the domain name the actual "server1.domainname.com" info. That was the problem

No, if I try to access my server through http, I get a "The connection was reset" while if I go through https, it asks me if I want to accept it and then gives the same result as in http.

48
So... I've switched programs from apache to nginx :)

All working now

but... damn!... can anyone else replicate this issue?

nginx seams very fast so I'll stick with it and not dig the problem any further

Hi MR,

I don't own an ssl cert. All certs I have were "self assigned", or created in Kloxo interface. Doesn't matter if I use domain I own, or www.domain or a key with 2048 or less. Works on https://kloxo:777 (I've checked it's the one I've generated in kloxo Interface) but... domains I have do not work on 443 (they show the error I've specified priviously)

Kloxo-MR Technical Helps / SSL ssl_error_rx_record_too_long
« on: 2014-06-14, 20:17:10 »
So...

I've started running into this error...

Quote
Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to lavoulp.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

All domains have this problem, must be the SSL i've generated.

The SSL is the same for kloxo, however, it works fine in kloxo (is it some diference between kloxo's https protocol and httpd?)

I need some enlightment here please,
Thanks in advance...

Kloxo-MR Technical Helps / Re: DNS problems

admin - servers - pick the server - switch programs

then, switch the dns program... and... finally it seams working

52
Actually... there's something really odd in my dns configuration... I've switched between them all... and always get these results:

Mismatched NS records    WARNING: One or more of your nameservers did not return any of your NS records.
DNS servers responded    ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond:
The ones that did not respond are: [my IP... :( ]

Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers
SOA record   No valid SOA record came back!
MX Records   Oh well, I did not detect any MX records so you probably don't have any and if you know you should have then they may be missing at your nameservers!
WWW A Record    ERROR: I could not get any A records!

So... the DNS template...
I've registered ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com in my registrar to point to my IP.
Now I should only put ns1.domain.com  and ns1.domain.com into DNS template right?

Since that's settled (I guess), I need to check my dns config deeper.

another tool says

"Failed to find name servers of lavoulp.ch/IN.

No name servers found at child."

and

"Done testing delegation for lavoulp.ch.

Fatal error in delegation for zone lavoulp.ch.

Test completed for zone lavoulp.ch."

my child is my actual domain right?
in it's dns there is such thing as NS records with values ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com

I'm lost here... need some help - many thanks

53
switching to djbdns didn't work (I have issued the "service djbdns setup; service djbdns restart" with no success)

fixed...

screwed up with the dnstemplate

default
ns1.default.dns
ns2.default.dns

will trigger the right configuration for all domains and subdomains

54
This should be closed.

My VPS was completly lagging, and had no perfomance whatsoever (and was rather old, about 2 years).
I've switched to another much better.
This meant a whole backup of mysqls, data and rebuild of everthing in the new one.

Hi there MR,

Before anything elser:

[root@server1 ~]# sh /script/sysinfo

B. OS: CentOS release 6.5 (Final) x86_64

   7. Dns: bind-9.8.2-0.23.rc1.el6_5.1.x86_64

D. Php-type (for Httpd/proxy):

E. Memory:
total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
   Mem:          3880        563       3317          0         12        293
   -/+ buffers/cache:        257       3623
   Swap:         1023          0       1023

I have one IP.
My ns's are pointing to there.
My default dns template is pointing to them. BIND issue? I'll try djbdns

I created a subdomainY of domainX, resulting in subdomainY.domainX.com

When I try to see subdomainY.domainX.com in internet, I see domainX.com

Sould I not create subdomain as subdomain but rather as domain?

I'm confused here...

56
Yes... and I think that's what's holding down my machine's performance

'sh /script/sysinfo' is taking ages to happen.

Awesome... dns is fixed.

Turns out, there was a problem with a TXT string:
__base__    TXT    -    v=spf1 a mx ~all

Some of the domains had it, so I've removed manually one by one and checked all of them, then started bind and it functions now

Now...
all of my domains go to the same "default" page, that's my main website. Shouldn't be this the behaviour... going to dig it a little more...
