Hello Mustafa,

Using 6.5.0.f 2014041803 and latest httpd.

In kloxomr panel, I have www. force redirect to www.

In DNS, I have wildcard CNAME for * ---> @.

Any subdomain other than CNAME www, as it is configured, does not point to the @ ---> IP.

The http request is redirected by kloxomr panel to a non-existent domain page i.e. default page.

Thats wrong.

Hi Mustafa,

After I made an update of today's kloxomr 6.5.0f-2014041801, and executed cleanup, the dnstemplate and clienttemplate table got emptied!

I am sure that there were dnstemplates in there because before running the update I made a backup with Navicat. When I found that named did not start and gave errors, I investigated and found dnstemplate empty!

I am not sure about clienttemplate, though.

There was something in the last one or two updates in this area that has caused this change.

Hello Mustafa,

I installed kloxo-mr fresh. When I run a script for cleanup, etc. I get the following:

[root@ns2 ~]# service kloxo restart
/etc/init.d/kloxo: line 43:  1302 Segmentation fault      lxphp.exe -f ../init/changeport.php
/usr/sbin/hiawatha not found.

Cleanup throws the following:


*** Restart services - BEGIN ***
/etc/init.d/kloxo: Line 43:  1600 Memory error  lxphp.exe -f ../init/changeport.php
/usr/sbin/hiawatha not found.
*** Restart services - END ***

Can I execute some other script to fix this?

I got an [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try anymore while updating with yum.

This is a bug in yum.

I changed in /etc/yum.conf and it did not give the error:

http_caching=none

May be this was a coincidence.

Hello Mustafa,

In the shell_exec, I see the following getting executed for no reasons:

[(__system__:/usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/httpdocs) 'chown'  '-R' 'root:root' '/home/lighttpd/']
[(__system__:/usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/httpdocs) 'chown'  '-R' 'root:root' '/home/nginx/']

Is there any reason to have execution of these unnecessary commands?

The server has nothing to do with lighttpd or nginx. Kloxomr cannot just be so blind to have all kinds of execution of commands making the server busy for no reasons.

Kloxo-MR Development / [ModSecurity] httpd will not start

Hello Mustafa,

I had installed ModSecurity earlier and httpd failed to restart because the Ruleset were not defined.

It took a while to find where the problem was.

Is it possible to have a default installation of ModSecurity in such a manner that httpd will certainly start?

The default installation should have a minimum ruleset such that it could be used properly.

I tried to reset the root password with an empty password, just in case it had some problems. But it goes into loops of resetting the password.

Hello Mustafa,

I think the following feature is a must:

For any reasons if there is a change in some security areas, Kloxo-MR should immediately send an email.

For e.g. there is a change in mysql pass, or kloxo pass, etc. then it becomes very important to send an email to the admin immediately. Later, it becomes too late.

Hello Mustafa,

Since a longtime I have observed that mailboxes were created in / dir.

Now I got deferral: vdelivermail:_deferred.

After executing /script/fixmail it got created in / directory again.

Then I executed the sh /script/reset-mysql-root-password xxx and theafter executed /script/fixmail.

As a result, of reset, the mailboxes were not created in / dir anymore, vdelivermail became working again and I can not login.

This is a BUG.

Hello Mustafa,

If I understand correct, kloxo-mr installed rkhunter, right? In that case, it would be correct to add rkhunter --propupd. Without this, it will not function.

It is possible that this was installed from centos template. Even in that case, it would be worth to have something like this integrated.

I got the message:

The file of stored file properties (rkhunter.dat) does not exist, and should be created. To do this type in 'rkhunter --propupd'.

Hi Mustafa,

/script/fix-all creates mailboxes under root on my installation, not always though! I have not been able to figure out under which combination it does.

Now that it repeatedly happened, and I needed to delete all mainboxes under root dir "/", I began to notice that this is a phenomenon that only occurs after /script/fix-all

Ofcourse, on your installation you will not be able to reproduce a bug, which I can reproduce, right. Thus, it is not a bug.

Hello Mustafa,

I suggest to modify and include "Recipient Verification" for incoming messages.

Recently, we received thousands of emails with bogus_recipients@domain.com. As domain.com is in the rcphosts file, all non-existent emails randomly generated got delivered with bogus Return-Path. They  were relayed to hotmail, yahoo or google.

To prevnt this, the best is to use SPAMCONTROL:
