Title: VPS hosting vs Wordpress hosting
Post by: LotsOfQ on 2017-01-28, 14:17:41: I hope someone can help me on this. I have been seeing a lot about Wordpress hosting companies. I am curious as to what do they do with their server that we can't do with our VPS? I saw those WP hosting plans cost a lot more than normal VPS and with less resources.

I really want to know what do they do differently? Can we config our VPS the same way or do they have something special?

You can do everything (not only for wordpress) in your VPS. But, better use KVM/Xen VPS instead OpenVZ VPS.

I mean KVM or Xen. So, Openstack KVM is KVM VPS.

Beside, you need optimize your server (webserver, mysql and php) and add certain plugins in wordpress (related to cache plugins).
