So I've finally tried this "sh /script/upcp --force" and when it's done I got that message as I've first install Kloxo-MR. "Congratulations. Kloxo-MR has been installed succesfully as 'MASTER'........"

I am freaking out. So I've tried to logged in Kloxo with my password as admin. Didn't work. So I've tried with default "admin" "admin" and that doesn't work too.

Did I lose all my data and everything? Is there anyway that I can get them back?

Look like using other repo instead 'default' by Kloxo-MR. In this situation, upcp may not fix your issue.

Without 'dangerously' action, your data still exists.

Inform here your:
Code: [Select]
sh /script/sysinfo; dir -l /etc/yum.repos.d; cat /etc/yum.repos.d/mratwork.repo|grep "centos-6"

By the way, I'm not sure what you meant by this:

I only follow the install instruction from here:
https://github.com/mustafaramadhan/kloxo/blob/release/how-to-install.txt

I haven't done anything different. Not sure how did this happened in the first place. I am so confused.

So, try 'yum clean all; yum update' first. If without problem, you can run 'sh /script/upcp -y' after.

Better reboot (because kernel updated) before running 'sh /script/upcp -y'.

Try select 'none' for all options in 'switch programs' and than change to like you want. The same ways for 'php type' where select to 'suphp' and then select to 'php-fpm_event'.

It's something wrong because location for 'default' ssl file in '/home/kloxo/httpd/ssl/' instead '/etc/httpd/'.

Give me an access to your ssh and Kloxo-MR panel. Send via PM.

I want to know why it's happens in your server.

You must change hostname in VPS control panel. Without it, every time you reboot, hostname will be back to previous. And or ask to your provider.

It's weird that I didn't make any changes before. And it was working fine the way it was. But everything goes wrong after the update. Before I didn't have this issue.
Title: Re: Did I lost all my data? URGENT please Help
Post by: MRatWork on 2015-05-02, 18:21:46
Kloxo-MR didn't touch /etc/hosts except in install process (running upcp).

So, ask to your provider. It's not Kloxo fault but your provider problem.

I've asked them. I've spend almost 30mins with him. He assure me that there's nothing on their end that restore back after each reboot.

I did more research and found /etc/resolv.conf. What should be on that file?
Title: Re: Did I lost all my data? URGENT please Help
Post by: LotsOfQ on 2015-05-02, 19:47:11
I am giving up. I cannot fix this. I will do a new install and give Kloxo-MR another try. I really wish I stick with it because it's free. But I can't keep on messing with it. I have all my websites in one vps. If new install doesn't workout then it's time to go back to cPanel when I hate to pay for it. But it's stable.

By the way what is the best way to backup all clients/domains/reseller/accounts. Like backup even mails that are on the server. So once the new install is done I can restore them back with password and everything. Is possible? I know cPanel has that option.
Title: Re: Did I lost all my data? URGENT please Help

Use backup/restore features.

Again, It's not Kloxo-MR issue but your server itself.

With backup/restore, can I just backup admin and that should backup everything? I just have to make one backup and restore one time right instead of backing up each client/user?
Title: Re: Did I lost all my data? URGENT please Help

Via 'admin > backup/restore' will be backup everything. Via 'admin > clients > (each client) > backup/restore' only backup per-client.

I don't know if these issues are related. When I am in "admin — {Servers}" I noticed one listed "localhost" but it showed as "Not Used".
When I select the "localhost" take me to "admin — Servers — {Server}". I noticed the following.
Quote
?    Buffers    6 MB    1996 MB
?    Cached    233 MB    1996 MB
?    Real Mem    251 MB    1996 MB
Those showed as "Exceeded".

Also just to be sure I am on the right path. After the fresh installed I have not added any domain or client. I wanted to restore the backup file first. Do I have to add a user/client or domain first?

Try rename 'pureftpd.passwd.oldsaved' to 'pureftpd.passwd' and run again fixftp-all and restart-ftp

I renamed 'pureftpd.passwd.oldsaved' to 'pureftpd.passwd' but when I run "sh /script/fixftp-all; sh /script/restart-ftp -y"
Quote
[root@server ~]# sh /script/fixftp-all; sh /script/restart-ftp -y
Initialize PureFtp service
- Initialize process
Make pure-ftpd user database
- Restart xinetd service for pureftp

- For help, type '/script/fixftpuser [--help|-h]'
- No argument supplied. Defaulting to localhost (master) servers

Fixing FTP User
- 'newuser20' ('admin') at 'localhost'
Unable to open the passwd file: No such file or directory

*** Process Time: 00:00:00:00.458 (dd:hh:mm:ss:xxxxxx) ***

Stopping xinetd:                                           [  OK  ]
Starting xinetd:                                           [  OK  ]
Then I go back and check the file and noticed after "sh /script/fixftp-all; sh /script/restart-ftp -y" renamed back to "pureftpd.passwd.oldsaved".

When you run 'pure-pw mkdb', this process try create pureftpd.pdb from pureftpd.passwd but missing pureftpd.passwd. So, why advice to rename pureftpd.passwd.oldsaved to pureftpd.passwd.

Fixftp-all try with another way.

Or try 'yum reinstall pure-ftpd -y; sh /script/cleanup'.

Did you add dummy domain for the first time?.

No, I didn't add anything domain/user/client etc.

I've just done a brand new install of Centos 6 and Kloxo-MR 7 and got the same issue with FTP.

After added a dummy domain FTP works. But I cannot login with user admin or root. But I can with the users I created. But that only have access to the dummy domain directories. It doesn't have access to /home/admin/.

Where can I upload the backup file to for restore?

Try add dummy domain first (like 'iamamannotawoman.com') and then user ftp user of iamamannotawoman.com as username (need reset password for this user).

Doesn't matter your backup file inside /home/admin/<dummy>. After upload finished, use 'file manager' to move (cut-paste) to '/home/kloxo/client/admin/__backup'

When inside '/home/kloxo/client/admin/__backup' there's no paste option.

Or using 'sh /script/restore'.

I just wanted to come back and report. I end up using the ftp option in the upload options. Since I have ftp backup file to the "newuser20" account. I just have to setup ftp option in the restore >> upload. And to my surprise it works. I did managed to restore all but two data was corrupted. For some reasons it was empty.

So back to the "unknown host" thing. I did a fresh installed of Centos 6 and changed the hostname right away before I install Kloxo-MR. It sticks. I reboot as many times no problem.

I guess it was not the server that not allowing it to stick. There's something to it. I don't know.

Anyway, I will keep my eyes on this. Now it's time for this.
