High RAM usage
« on: 2015-02-05, 06:31:30 »
Hi! Me again.. I've setup CentOS 6.6 and Kloxo-MR, tested everything and uploaded my first website. Already established website with constant traffic on it. I redirected my domain from my old server to my new KloxoMR server and everything was working fine. Decent speed, no lags, everything works fine, but I noticed very high RAM usage. This is a 16GB RAM machine and with just one website with some 30 visitors and RAM usage is almost 15GB.
RAM Usage was just arround 1GB on the other server.
Any ideas?

If NOT using OpenVZ VPS, you can add in cron job with command 'sh /script/clearcache3; sh /script/restart-all -y' per-day shedule.

I'm not sure if I understood what are you asking about VPS... I'm on dedicated server by Hetzner.
I opened Servers>localhost>processes and noticed that there are more than 100 processes with USER: apache COMMAND:/usr/sbin/httpd.
Regarding webserver config:
Php branch: php53u_(as_5.3.29)
Php Type: mod_php_ruid2
Apache memory optimize: none
Mysql Convert: none

Using Apache as webserver and bind as DNS

Try change 'mod_php_ruid2' to 'php-fpm_event' and then set 'apache optimize' to 'low'.

I'm actually on Kloxo-MR 6.5.0.f-2015010801 and I don't have the "low" option in Apache. I sellected php-fpm_event and saved the options.
The thing I noticed: When I update "Webserver Config" or "advanced PHP config" the Total Mem usage drops to arroung 1GB but it starts increasing again. I will monitor it to see if it will happen now that I changed php type to php-fpm_event>
I will notify you in 10-15min.

Everything is working OK now. RAM usage is somewhere arround 1.3GB and that's fine.
Thank you VERY, VERY much for your time.
I have one more question but it's related to qmail.. Should I post it here or open a new topic?

Better new topic for qmail issue.

Also better update Kloxo-MR 7.0 because possible optimize (in panel) for php and apache itself.

I actually tried installing KloxoMR 7.0 several times in the last 10 days but with no success. I formatted my server more than 15 times during this period. I installed CentOS 6.6 and tried kloxoMR 7. It installed but many functions were not working, I couldn't setup DNS settings, couldn't make the webserver work etc...
I tried CentOS 7 and KloxoMR 7 but I couldn't install it at all. There was the problem with the repository and mirrors. The only option that was left is centos 6.6 and kloxomr 6.5 . I'm not very happy with this outdated combination and I always aim to have the latest possible software on my server but this is the only centos/kloxomr combination I managed to install successfully.
I'm not very experienced with this stuff (as you suppose) :)
