Suddenly a week after sending email all mail has been returned. Mail logs show the error 'Sorry,_I_wasn't_able_to_establish_an_SMTP_connection._(#4.4.1)'.

I'm able to send and receive mail within the server but qmail will not send outgoing mail. Disabled firewalls, made sure ISP wasn't blocking smtp port 587 (they block 25), and my VPS provider spent 2 hours last night trying to get it working and they are baffled.

I tried the following commands 'yum reinstall *-toaster' 'sh /script/fixmail-all' to reinstall qmail and still cannot get it to send mail. Mustafa I'm willing to PM access to the VPS and even setup a test mail server as well if you don't have any other solutions. Thanks hope you can help.

Here's what my VPS provider said:

"We've done a packet capture of your VPS and at no time does it actually try to send emails, even after resolving everything. I've put in a few hours so far into this. I've reinstalled qmail completely but am still not seeing any attempts at sending emails. internal emails work just fine though, but nothing else. I'm sorry to say that at this point there isn't anyone on staff that can help you further with this."

Yes just tried those two ports as well.

I changed nothing on the server and it's been running for 2 years without issues. Suddenly all outgoing mail are returned with the error I posted above.
