Possibly a dumb question...but...
« on: 2016-03-12, 04:39:32 »
So I've used Kloxo (LxAdmin) before, but never in a Master/Slave configuration, and I'm completely new to KloxoMR. So I have no idea what (if anything at all besides what I've seen) has been changed.

Anyway, my question is pretty simple. If I make a change on my Master server, is it replicated to the slaves? Now this question refers to both content (websites, sessions, etc), and to configuration. Any help you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

And to those of you who have the answers, if it's already been answered before, feel free to just link to me to provided solution. Thanks in advance.

Master-slave is manage many servers under 1 address panel. We can set client A in master and client B in slave 1 and etcetera.

I don't like for master-slave approach in Kloxo (also current Kloxo-MR).

I hope in the future Kloxo-MR (version 7.0+) with new approach for master-slave. Maybe in 7.1.

For master/stand-alone, just simple migration from Kloxo to Kloxo-MR. But, better backup in old server (using Kloxo) and then restore in new server (using Kloxo-MR) where install in CentOS 6. Remember, Kloxo only possible in CentOS 5.

So it is configuration only. The data needs to be synced by a third party?

Additionally, is there any plan to make an MR installer for CentOS 7? I prefer to use CentOS 7 but can't seem to get MR to install on it.

Also on an unrelated note, I noticed when I create a sub-domain for some reason it created a DNS zone for it. Is there a way to stop that from happening? All I need is an A record for the parent zone to be created.

If it's a flaw in the original Kloxo code, I may have to host my DNS externally until that can be resolved.
