How to disable DKIM after being enabled
« on: 2014-08-18, 17:08:44 »
Hello,

I need to disable DKIM signing for one of our servers, I've tried via the Kloxo Control Panel but it doesn't seem to do much, from what I've read here, it seems that after a patch it is always enabled.
I really need a way to disable it and keep qmail working..

Here is my sysinfo:

A. Kloxo-MR: 6.5.0.f-2014070901

B. OS: CentOS release 6.5 (Final) x86_64

C. Apps:
   1. MySQL: mysql55-5.5.38-1.ius.el6.x86_64
   2. PHP: php53u-5.3.28-5.ius.el6.x86_64
   3. Httpd: httpd-2.2.27-1.mr.e6.x86_64
   4. Lighttpd: --uninstalled--
   5. Nginx: nginx-1.5.7-1.el6.x86_64
   6. Qmail: qmail-toaster-1.03-1.3.38.mr.el6.x86_64
      - with: courier-imap-toaster-4.1.2-1.3.16.mr.el6.x86_64
   7. Dns: bind-9.9.5-1.el6.x86_64

D. Php-type (for Httpd/proxy): php-fpm_worker

E. Memory:
total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
   Mem:         24099       6202      17897          0          0       5393
   -/+ buffers/cache:        808      23291
   Swap:          512         38        473

Thank you

KloxoMR uses my DKIM script.  If you want to disable server wide ssh as root

Code: [Select]
cd /var/qmail/bin
service qmail stop
mv qmail-remote qmail-remote.dkim
mv qmail-remote.orig qmail-remote
service qmail start

Done.  No DKIM - but be aware a lot of providers, gmail, hotmail, will quickly ban your ip without DKIM.

Thanks a lot for this fix.

I wish I didn't have to disable it but it is simply too heavy on CPU resources when a newsletter is being sent.

Cheers!

P.S. by the way..  does your sendmail wrapper help with performance in this context?

No, the overhead is from the perl interpreter.  I may in the futre rewrite both in C++, but don't have the time currently.

How many mails outgoing and whats the cpu usage?

Ok, it's not an issue, only on our mail servers.

This one sends around 40K twice a week.  All to subscribed users I should add.

the load starts piling up, nothing crashes but send rate goes down and even the web site slows down a bit after a while.
