1. I have fund 5 zip files (one per day) in home/kloxo/selfbackup/self/_backup folder although I didn't enabled any backup. I see inside is one single mebackup.dump. What's the purpose of it ?


2. I just made a backup from 'Backup Home' and '123-6.5-admin-2013-Aug-23-1377256570.tgz' was created. I tried to locate that file on my server using ssh command: 'locate 123-6.5-admin-2013-Aug-23-1377256570.tgz' but the file is not found. Where is that file saved ?

3. I need to set daily backup but to start at certain time, when my sites has little visitors (for example at 4AM) , how can I do that ?

Self backup only for backup Kloxo-MR panel setting and database. It's not for whole backup. Use 'Backup Home' in 'Admin' if want whole backup.

YES - I also have found 20 self backup files in /home/kloxo!!!!!  It contains the kloxo database.

THIS IS MY CONCERN - It has read privledges for ALL - so any client could use php and a file_get_contents to have your passwords.

This should be chmod 600 and where to I limit how many copies???  I do not want more and more of these things.

I am VERY security minded.  Kloxo is a great panel, but security for the panel is --- not always first priority.  Please do not get upset Mustafa, but we need to start hardening KloxoMR for shared hosting... otherwise the day will come when KloxoMR falls - and I really enjoy this project and think you are a great man for taking on the responsibilities of a fork --- but let us refresh security as a priority.

This plain text backup is a perfect example.  The root password for mysql is held in plain text.  Any client could get this dump - access mysql as root - and delete the whole database.  This is what hackers do.

Admin -> Resources -> Backup Home -> Configure scheduled

Set it to daily and how many copies you want saved.

Admin -> Scavenge Time

Set this to a time when your server is not busy as you want.

Kloxo uses the scavenge process to do all updates and backups, traffic counting, etc.

No feature for disable self backup. Click 'admin > self backup configure' to set send self backup to remote server.

Go to 'admin > backup /restore > schedule configuration' to set how many backup files.
