MySQL Import Database: Complete Server Froze
« on: 2015-02-04, 07:25:33 »
I've setup CentOS 6.6 dedicated server and installed Kloxo-MR.
I've tested everything and all the functions I need are working (not sure about the others). Now, I created Data Plan and created one Client account under it. I decided that it would be the best for me if I added every website as new client (I figured that this way it would be easier for me to manage everything and also, I believe that if anybody broke into one of my websites it would be harder for them to do any harm to other websites or the complete server.) I tried to upload one website's database and then it happened. The database size is 36MB, It uploaded successfully but when the import started the complete Kloxo froze. I couldn't do anything in my Client account, also the Admin account froze. When the database finished importing (it broke due to time limit) everything started working again.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? I really can't allow that every client can freeze my server whenever this happens, and could happen anytime.
I use Apache, bind and bogofilter.

I didn't know how to import database for what you mean. Did you use phpMyAdmin (access from Kloxo-MR panel)?.

Yes, I'm using PhpMyAdmin. I tried to access the server via FTP and it works. I'm able to access it via my root FTP account, server is responsive but Kloxo freezes.

Ok, I understand, but my Kloxo is frozen while the database is being imported. I'm not sure why this is happening but it does..I tested it many times. Is there some log file or something I could provide?

Upload sql file to /tmp dir and then from phpmyadmin you can import this file. This is another method for handle big sql file size.
