master server reset

I recently had to switch my master to a slave so I could fix a database, I tried switching it back to a master and seemed like everything went well. I tried to log in and was unsuccessful. I did reset the mysql root password fine, and tried to reset the master password for admin. I got the following error:

How to switch back to master?.

I think I had to delete the slave file and go from there. I can make it a slave again but the dns stopped working when I did that.

You need 're-setting' all programs in 'switch programs' for slave.
