Title: Clamd process high cpu usage

I am having a problem with clamd high usage of cpu. It's using 100% almost non stop.
I tried to google and did the following:

service clamd stop
chkconfig clamd off
chkconfig clamd --del

The problem is clamd is still there using 100%, even after reboot. I went to Mail Server Settings and disable Virus Scan. No help.
I can't get rid of it.

Try reboot and then see 'top' again.

Rebooting didn't help. It was still using 100% of CPU. I had to uninstall/remove it completely.

I face the same issue, clamd always uses 80%+ CPU

Other CPs also the sama issue (high cpu and or IO usage). Still investigate for what's happens.

seem facing a similar problem. all of my VPS took most 90% CPU to run clamd.

/var/log/maillog
-----------------
Sep 11 11:01:05 server clamd[2474]: TCP: Cannot bind to [127.0.0.1]:3310: Address already in use
Sep 11 11:01:05 server clamd[2474]: LOCAL: Socket file /var/run/clamav/clamd.sock is in use by another process.
