cannot start httpd on Kloxo7 CentOS7
« on: 2017-04-22, 17:30:35 »
Hi,
cannot start httpd service on fresh install (latest versions as of today, 22/04) of KloxoMr7 on Centos7.
Getting this message when trying to restart services:

*** Process for HTTPD service ***
  - Process: restart
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl stop  httpd.service
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl start  httpd.service
Job for httpd.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status httpd.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

What seems to be the problem?
Many thanks.
Nick

I added everything - did this many times before, so fully understand the procedure. That is why I don't understand the problem.
Nginx is working fine and my domain resolves correctly.

Try 'yum clean all; yum update -y; sh /script/cleanup'. If still not work, try 'sh /script/fixweb; sh /script/fixphp; sh /script/restart-web'.

I have tried all of this, but it didn't help. I will try one more time.

Inform here 'systemctl status httpd -l; yum list installed httpd* mod*'.

Thank you Mustafa - the first step worked this time. However, when I rebooted server, httpd stopped again (although it is set to start on reboot). I repeated these steps again and it restarted httpd, but I would like to know why httpd wouldn't start on reboot. I really don't want to this all over again.
Many thanks.

It happened again and unfortunately, none of the steps above have fixed the problem. Not sure if my host can help - I will try.

Ok - it turned out to be a SSL-related issue. Apparently, there was a misconfiguration of my SSL certificate which caused httpd to get blocked.
All good now, with the help of my host provider.
Thank you Mustafa for your help, too.
