Change permission

Hi i am running kloxo mr 7 and when i try to change permissions on folders it  does not do it also try and do it on filezilla in passive mode nothing happens also  the owner of the folder is admin admin

Change permissions from where? panel or ssh?.

And what's a purpose for change ownership/permissions?.

i have 1 folder and file to not make not writable but when i try to change these files from 755 to 555 it does not work. same with file from 644 to 444

Usually all directory is 755 and file is 644.

What's the reason to change to 555 for directory and 444 for file?.

phpfox need s 1 folder and 1 file unwritable  but i cant make thru panel  or on ftp to change

Give me an url about it. It's weird.

You can set with 'chown 555 /path/to/chown' from ssh or 'command center' in panel
