Slave change password
« on: 2016-07-17, 00:25:16 »
Just added slave, but i can't change password. See img.
Any other ways?

Tried on the slave:
[root@c6 ~]# sh /script/change-root-password
chpasswd: line 1: user '' does not exist
chpasswd: error detected, changes ignored
[root@c6 ~]#

Hmm too bad, this is a very needed functionality to have some load distribution among servers.
Will the DNS part of slave work or is nothing working at the moment?

We really  really need to have multiple Kloxo-MR servers.

Most of the slave seem to be working from master, when i played around.
But afterwards i had to remove the slave from "Servers" using Force delete due to error about remote authetication error and now i'm unable add the server back. Not sure what changes i've made that causes this, but i reset mysql password for slave from the master.

Now i see
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'kloxo'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

How can i try to fix it?
I alread ran mysql-kloxo reset password, it outputs the newpassword, but on a new line i see 1045. Is that an error return code?

Ok, i was able to fix it and get back to where i was:
[root@c6 ~]# sh /script/reset-mysql-root-password
[root@c6 ~]# sh /script/fix-program-mysql
[root@c6 ~]# sh /script/cleanup

Now i'm back to where i started :)

Question is, what is the mysql root password now? :)

And now i ran  sh /script/reset-mysql-root-password  mypassword
It seems to be working and i start to like it.

@Mustafa, do you think we can get the slave functionality to work 100% soon?
It will make Kloxo-MR rock and make it ready to be used by serious web hosters.

If you need money/time, what about starting a kickstarter/indiegogo to fund it? Can at least give it a try.

Information about mysql root password in /usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/etc/slavedb/dbadmin (by 'sh /script/reset-mysql-root-password') and mysql kloxo password in /usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/etc/conf/kloxo.pass (by 'sh /script/fix-program-mysql').

Thanks.
Now i'm trying to create a database for a client that i've created at the slave, look at the image.

I was logging at the slave and i see:
160717 14:13:09     105 Connect   root@localhost as anonymous on
105 Connect   Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
106 Connect   root@localhost as anonymous on
106 Connect   Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Master is connecting to slave without a mysql root password? Where are these details stored on the master?

Information about mysql root password in /usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/etc/slavedb/dbadmin (by 'sh /script/reset-mysql-root-password') and mysql kloxo password in /usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/etc/conf/kloxo.pass (by 'sh /script/fix-program-mysql').

So i was able to fix that too, by reseting the slave's mysql root password through master, and then running sh /scripts/fix-program-mysql newpassword on the slave.
So now i can create new DB for clients assigned to the slave.  GREAAT :)

But i tried to "move" an existing client of the master and got an error. See pic.
Do you think we can fix this?
