Title: Master-slave create customer + access to control panel
Post by: fossxplorer on 2017-04-11, 14:32:51
Hi,
using WHMCS, i can configure a server group with both master and "slave". So i have 2 Kloxo servers in a server group in WHMCS.
Now i'm testing an order for a product where WHMCS is configured to use the master for: Server to Load Choices From. I can see the slave also, but that's not chosen.

When i create a client from WHMCS now, i get 13:34 Apr/11/2017: __error_need in /usr/local/lxlabs/kloxo/log/web_command after a JSON object with otherwise correct details.

I want to use DNS from master (localhost), but rest should be on slave. So that the client can use master as the control panel to manage. Is this not possible?

You can't access slave directly.

Yes, i know, but only if you run make-slave. I have not done that for my "slave", so my "slave" is still running as a Kloxo-MR master. It's only slave as seen from the original master.

I don't there is a difference making it slave with make-slave, is it? The only thing i can see is that the panel access will be blocked and allowed only from the master. Is there anything else?

Anyway, i got it working now with WHMCS for a test at least Let's see how stable this management works with WHMCS, master and slave.
Next is to test the same management with Blesta, but no time for that atm :(

This situations may possible if change 'master-slave' to 'manager-worker'.
