This is just crazy...
All my e-mails to gmail.com goes to spam even if I change domain.
It says:
"Why is this message in Spam? It's similar to messages that were detected by our spam filters. Learn more"

This is probably banned IP because some of hosting users are sending mass e-mails to gmail.com. That's why we need to stop using qmail and use exim.
-
+1 for exim. Everything but not qmail :)
There is a big problem with qmail.
Every day we clean some site from scripts that send mass mail. The most strange thing is that those scripts send mail from fake address.
For example: client have mail account client@domain.com, but if his site got hacked all mails are sent from some virtual mails eg. client2@domain.com or blahblah@domain.com..
-
Is it a bigger and time consuming change to replace Qmail with Exim in Kloxo-MR?
-
It's no guarantee changing to exim will be resolve this issue. It's related to domainkeys, reverse-dns and SPF active or not.

Look at my headers, SPF pass, DKIM pass, Domainkeys pass, Reverse DNS matches.
So what do they want from me ?
I've tried even an unused domain and it also went to SPAM :/
Maybe server IP ban ?
-
I've sent mail via console from my backup slave server and it worked fine.
So I've mail via console from master and it went to SPAM :/
-
So your email from the slave server did NOT go into Spam folder of Gmail?
If that's the case, we would like to know the differences of your master vs slave server. Do they run Kloxo-MR, same version etc?

Yes, but config is exactly the same... It's a ban per IP not per domain, config etc.
-
Yup, Gmail red flags IP. I have tried to get a criteria from them, but basically I was told if this happens, once a percentage of users mark the email as "not spam" your IP will go through again. I asked what percentage, no reply. :-(
I switched my main IP, which can't always be done (I understand) but that's how I got past it.
I would install my sendmail wrapper and watch for spam through scripts. (Posting it today to tips and tricks session, as it has worked a week under normal load without a huge cpu strain)
-
I have exactly the same problem. It works on live/hotmail.com, but for Yahoo Mail and Gmail all my email are going to Spam. I assume you are using Kloxo-MR, did you change the main IP, i.e the shared IP to overcome this issue? Did the emails go to Inbox once you changed the main IP?

I only got one IP on this server. Next IP cost 1 Euro per month.

When sending to yahoo.com mails from backup server goes to SPAM (no SPF, Domainkeys and DKIM out there), mails from main server goes to Inbox !
-
Ok, i have more than 10 IPs since i have to use dedicated IPs for nameservers.
But it's a bit unclear since you say that emails from your backup server goes to Yahoo's Spam, so does it mean that your backup server is not the same as the slave server you referred to earlier which was fine sending email from?
Another question to clarify: does emails from your main server still go to Spam folder of Gmail, but Inbox of Yahoo? Is that correct?

Is everithing work correct inside control panel when replacing qmail with yum
yum remove qmail*
yum install exim
-
No, replacing qmail not that simple. KloxoMR is hard coded to use qmail. But exim will not fix IP ban or php scripts from being hacked

It's the same server.
So even mails sent without SPF, DKIM, Domainkeys etc. from backup (slave) server goes to Inbox on Gmail, and to spambox on Yahoo (because no SPF etc.).
Mails from main master server goes to Spambox on Gmail (because of IP ban) and to inbox on yahoo.

I found people are sending mail via sendmail from domains that do not exist on my server. How to block this ? I just want to keep mails from root and all other users that are authorized.
