External database instead of localhost
« on: 2015-10-15, 09:50:13 »
Hi,
is there a way of having the database running on another host than where Kloxo-MR is installed?
Or is the Kloxo-MR code hardcoded to use localhost all over  ???

You need modified /etc/my.cnf (for Kloxo-MR 6.5) or /etc/my.cnf.d/server.conf (for Kloxo-MR 7.0).

I think you misunderstood me.
My question is , can we separate MySQL from Kloxo-MR so they run on different hosts?

/etc/my.cnf.d/server.conf is MySQL specific config files, but requires MySQL server to run the same host.

You need modified /etc/my.cnf (for Kloxo-MR 6.5) or /etc/my.cnf.d/server.conf (for Kloxo-MR 7.0).

Kloxo-MR itself need MySQL in the same server. Yes, I have a plan to change to sqlite for KLoxo-MR database.
