Title: scavenge time/cron?
Post by: chrisf on 2014-02-16, 18:06:33
I have noticed that scavenge does not appear to run.  I set scavenge time in KloxoMR panel, then searched through crontab -l and /var/spool/cron and all the cron.* directories but no scavenge.

Where and how does this process run automatically?

Across a 5 server cluster I was noticing stats not getting updated, traffic count wrong.  These are all new 6.5.1a installs.

I have created a file in cron.daily that calls to /script/fixtraffic and things have started working, or appear to.  This is not right.

I am concerned with resource overages and proper tracking.

Please advise.

Check inside /etc/cron.daily, montly and weekly. Also inside /var/spool/cron

I checked everywhere.  No scavenge.  I checked /log/shell_exec and no scavenge (it showed when I ran manually)

6.5.1a all fresh installs.  Automatic scavenge is not working on ANY of my servers.  I have set the time, changed it, nothing.

It only runs if I do it manually.  Please investigate.

I am adding it to all my cron jobs on my servers.  This is a definite bug.  And new users of KloxoMR should be aware setting scavenge time doesn't work.

I see it inside webalizer. It was counting only one day in entire week...
