Edited files in File Manager changes to "root"
« on: 2014-01-26, 17:53:27 »
I have the latest release of Kloxo-MR installed.

I noticed that whenever any file edited in File Manager, the ownership changes to 'root'.

For example, I edited the wp-config.php file and the ownership changed to 'root' user.

See attached image.

Inform your step until open this file. Let say 'admin > server > ...'.

Could you explain what you mean with admin > server >  to me? Is there a command I should run to fix this bug? I'd like to know if other users are experiencing the same problem.

He is trying to figure out if you are editing files under the "server" section, which is root, or if you are editing files under the domain section, which edits files under that user.

I am editing Wordpess files.

Wordpress files are in the domain section File Manager: www.mywebsite.com > wp-config.php

As my initial post states, I edited the wp-config.php file and the ownership changed to 'root' user.

Confirmed bug.

Mustafa, this is a bug.  I have a file called test.txt with few words in it, owner is admin.

Admin -> Domains -> (selected my domain)

Filemanager, clicked the test.txt -> Edit -> Save

The owner changed to root.

Please investigate soon, this is a serious problem for clients.

UPDATE:  6.5.0f has the bug, if you edit and save owner changed to root.  6.5.1a, does not show 'owner' in filemanager, but I took same steps, logged in SSH, owner did not change.  Appears is a 6.5.0f bug.

I've been having this problem since October and I mentioned it in a post but now I posted it in the right section for bug fixes. I currently have Kloxo-MR 6.5.0.f-2014011001
