Fildena 100 mg contains sildenafil citrate as its active ingredient, and it belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.

When a man is sexually aroused, the body releases nitric oxide in the erectile tissue of the penis. Nitric oxide then activates an enzyme called guanylate cyclase, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).

cGMP is a signaling molecule that helps to relax the smooth muscles of the blood vessels in the penis. This relaxation allows more blood to flow into the penile arteries, leading to an erection.

Normally, cGMP is broken down by an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). Fildena 100 and Sildalist 120 inhibit PDE5, preventing it from breaking down cGMP.

As a result, the levels of cGMP remain elevated for a longer period, promoting prolonged relaxation of the penile blood vessels and sustained blood flow into the penis.

The increased blood flow to the penis leads to an erection that can be sustained during sexual activity. It's important to note that Fildena 100 mg does not cause spontaneous erections; sexual stimulation is still necessary for the medication to be effective.
