If you're traveling with American Airlines on an upcoming flight, here's everything you need to know about your baggage allowance and fees. Your baggage allowance may vary depending on fare type, cabin class and route.
American Airlines carry-on luggage
American Airline passengers are allowed to bring one piece of carry-on luggage on board their flight and one personal item that must fit under the seat in front of them. This would include a purse, briefcase, laptop bag, or similar items such as a tote bag. Hand luggage must not measure more than 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm, including handles and wheels.
Please note: Diaper bags (1 per child), soft cooler bags with breast milk, child safety seats, strollers, and medical or mobility devices do not count as personal items or carry-on luggage.
